Frequently asked questions
Can you keep my pet(s) at your house?
No. I live in a tiny house and don't have adequate room for additional pets.
Will you sleep at my house while I am away?
Yes. In whatever area you designate.
Will you just come by and walk my dog?
No. I will exercise and interact with your pet while they are in my care, but I am not a dog walking service.
How much do you charge?
$75 per night for up to 3 pets. $25 for each additional pet. If you have a large number of pets or live on a farm and would like for me to take care of the livestock, we'll discuss a fee that is fair. Fees are double during major holidays.
What other things could you do while you are in my home?
I have other skills that could be helpful to you. I had a cleaning business for many years, so I could do light or deep cleaning in specified areas, organizing and I've also painted professionally. Those things will be extra fees based on the job. Regardless, I will clean up after myself.
What is the best way to reach you?
Texts are best. 919.625.1074
Are there pets that you will not take care of?
On a case by case basis, I would consider large birds, snakes and other reptiles, and exotic pets. I would probably not care for pets with aggression issues or intense medical needs as I do not feel qualified.
Are you a Vet Tech?
No. I am an animal lover and a life long Dog Mama. I feel a calling to give generously of my time and attention to the voiceless.
Will you come by to meet my pet(s)?
Yes. I will come by to meet you, your pets, complete an intake form, gain an understanding of your expectations, and see if I am a good fit.
Will you be available 24 hours a day?
Probably. I might need to leave for a short errand on occasion, and church on Sunday morning but I will be there at least 18 of any 24 hour period.
Can you do special activities for my pet(s)?
Yes! Let's discuss!
Are you the one who will come?
Yes. I am my only employee.
Do you bring your own food?
Yes. I will bring everything I will need for my stay. I will expect you to have enough food, treats, etc. for your pets.
